Here is a small writeup from the last Protospiel West at Gateway 2007 over Labor Day 2007. We ran three 3-hour sessions during the day, each with an hour break. There was no guest speaker this time: Tom Jolly was the Guest of Honor for the convention. He had various seminars during the weekend so we did not need to schedule his time for our convention. The first session had 5 games tested, the second session had 7, and the last session had 4 games. We had a total of 27 unique participants, not including Travis and myself. Every designer seemed to get great feedback for their games and appreciated the time spent by the playtesters to review their games. We also attracted 21 new playesters; this will help out the local playtesting group that Travis Ball has setup. You can sign up on the mailing list to get information when the next playtesting session will occur.
Finally, thank you to everyone who attended the event. We look forward to seeing you at a future Strategicon or Socal Games Day.
